“ It was our first time at Matteo's with our family, and we were absolutely impressed and satisfied with the entire experience. For a Tuesday, it was packed but the food came out promptly. The kids especially liked seeing their pizza being made. The food was phenomenal!! So much so that we have already picked out what we are going to order next time. The house-made pasta, pizza dough and sauces, along with the quality and customer service is what brings this restaurant to a whole different level. “ I recently dropped into the restaurant to place an order for take-out, and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Matteo, the owner himself. I happened to know what I wanted, having reviewed the menu online in advance, and told Matteo what I would like - two orders of Chicken Parmigiana and one order of Agnolotti. He promptly took my order to the kitchen, and advised me it would be about 20 minutes, which I thought was quite reasonable given how apparently busy they were at the time. While I waited, I enjoyed a drink, and observed how happy both clientele and staff appeared to be. Matteo himself was flitting about and greeting and chatting with diners, some of whom he must have known from previous meetings. It was evident to me that the restaurant staff took pride in serving great food. I asked Matteo about the restaurant and he said it was a long-time passion of his and was proud that it had been in operation for nearly 13 years. My family and I loved the food. The chicken was tender, moist and hot, and was a on bed of linguine that was clearly freshly made. The agnolotti was similarly perfectly prepared and enjoyable. I highly recommend Matteo's and encourage you to dine there with family and/or friends for a memorable meal. ”

We ordered the Margherita Pizza, Eggplant Parmesan, and the Phyllo Cheesecake — and each dish was outstanding. The Eggplant Parmesan was rich and comforting, with layers that melted in the mouth — one of the best we’ve had! We loved the Phyllo Cheesecake which was a delightful surprise — light, flaky, and not overly sweet, with a unique texture that we absolutely loved. Attention to detail was noticed. The service was excellent! The presentation was really good and the food was rich and flavourful. One small recommendation would be a greater selection of wine sold by the glass but other than that we enjoyed ourselves! ”

“ A very nice, small, rustic authentic Italian restaurant. All the food was delicious and we especially loved the carbonara and fettuccine Alfredo with added chicken. Owner stopped by the table and very nice. You definitely need a reservation since there aren't too many tables and they get a lot of big groups. Highly recommend! ”
